Preferred Format

The preferred format for submissions is a Word document (.doc or .docx)

Articles submitted as an email message are also acceptable, providing that it is an original email and the text wraps properly and is not broken up by >> symbols all down the left margin, as often happens after an email has been replied to and sent back and forth.

Images

Regardless of which format you have chosen, all images must be sent as attachments, even if they have been included on the page with the text.

Bibliographies or Reference Lists

Please make sure each article you submit includes a list of all websites, online magazines and books used, if it is not completely your own, original work.

Each book reference must clearly show the full title, the author and the year of publication. Magazines must show the title of the article, the author, the name of the magazine, the issue or number, and the year of publication.

Start a new line for each separate book, and please be consistent with the way the info is presented (either title or author first but use the same order for every book in your list). It doesn’t have to be too involved – just enough information that if anybody wants to check your references they are able to find the same info you used.

For example, the minimum info required for books and magazines…

Title of Book, by Fred Blogs, 2009
Title of Second Book, by John Smith, 1998
Title of Third Book, by Mergatroid Jones, 2007
Title of Article, by Jane Doe, in “Spooky Magazine” Issue 20, 2008

If you run the references together, separated only by commas it is often extremely difficult to tell which author goes with which book, which could result in the reference list being incorrect, so please keep them on separate lines.

References to websites should contain the complete url (website address) and also be listed on separate lines.

For example…

http://www.seedsforchangewellness.com/ArticleSUspendYourDisbelief.html
http://members.cox.net/zyphurse/energy/psychic_shielding.pdf
http://www.crystalinks.com/seance.html

IMPORTANT! If you did not write an article yourself but wish to submit something you’ve seen elsewhere you MUST GET PERMISSION from the original author first. If permission is granted full credit must be given to the author, citing all relevant information. If permission is not granted to republish the best we can do is provide a link to the author’s website. The aim of this is of course to give credit where credit is due and to avoid accusations of plagiarism and breach of copyright laws.

Grammar, Spelling & Punctuation

Please take the time to proofread your work thoroughly and check for any spelling, grammar or punctuation errors.

Thank you for your assistance. We always aim to produce a top quality magazine. 🙂
